After
LG announced a global rollout for four mid-range smartphones, the
company is now expected to unveil their next generation flagship
smartphone, the LG G4. The South-Korean giant has reportedly sent out
invites to the press in various countries for an event which will take
place on April 28.
The
official invite reads, “See the great, Feel the great”. As rumoured,
the new device will sport a premium leather build. A report by GSMarena
states that the unveiling for the device will truly be a ‘global affair’
and will take place in New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Singapore and
Istanbul.
In
terms of specifications, a recent listing on GFX Bench stated that the
LG G4 will sport a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel
resolution. Running Android Lollipop 5.1, the device will be powered by a
Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor paired with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB
RAM. The device is rumoured to have an internal storage at 32GB. No
information has been provided whether the device will support a microSD
card.
On
the camera front, the G4 will have a 16MP rear camera along with a 8MP
front facing camera. In terms of connectivity, the device is said to
support the usual features. There is no word on battery capacity for the
device either.
