Samsung
launched its most anticipated devices, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
one day ahead at MWC this year. But undoubtedly, the latter has gained a
lot of attention for its unique design. The double-edged device
received a great deal of appreciation from critics as well as from fans.
For
such a delicate-looking smartphone, Samsung made it a point to add in
the new Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. They took it a step ahead and
fitted one in the front and one in the back. But can the Gorilla Glass 4
provide the required protection?
A
report by PhoneArena pointed to video uploaded on YouTube, in which a
woman demonstrates a working Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and then thrashes
the device three times to the floor. But even after this brutal attack,
the Galaxy S6 Edge survives. The woman tries to use the phone after the
‘slam test’ and it seems to be working fine.
Samsung
Galaxy S6 Edge along with the Galaxy S6 will start shipping in India
starting April 10 and is now available for pre-order. Those users who
pre-book the Galaxy S6/Edge will also get benefits like one-time screen
replacement along with payback points in case the company plans a
trade-in cashback scheme in the future.
