Micromax
has some new announcement in the TV segment. It is launching 4K Ultra
High Definition (UHD) TVs. The TVs will come in two variants – the
42-inch Micromax 42C0050UHD and the 49-inch Micromax 50K2330UHD.
The
unique aspect of these new launches are their pricing. The 42-inch one
will cost Rs 39,990 and the 49-inch one will come at Rs 49,990. As far
as 4K UHD TVs go, these are the lowest prices we have seen.
Both
the TVs will be selling exclusively on Flipkart from 13th March
onwards. The 49-inch TV comes with a golden-coloured metal frame and
glass-finish back and has 2x HDMI and 3x USB ports whereas the 42-inch
TV comes with 3x HDMI and 3x USB ports. Both TVs will have a native
resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.
Micromax
has also ensured that both the TVs are smart TVs thanks to the fact
that both TVs run Android OS. The 42-incher runs Android 4.2 whereas the
49-inch one runs Android 4.4. Both TVs will have access to the Google
Play Store. It will also come with pre-loaded apps such as Facebook.
Twitter, Gmail and so on.
Navigation
will be via a Smart Somato-Sensory remote control, which works similar
to the air mouse. This makes navigation around the smart TV easy and
also works as a controller for a lot of the pre-installed games.
The
TVs come with a 2.2GB of internal storage, which is expandable to 32GB.
It houses a dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. Other features
include DLNA, Wi-fi, screen mirroring, USB connectivity and HDMI ports.
