Truecaller
has updated its iOS app. The all new Truecaller version 5.0 brings a
refreshed look, but the highlight is the new widget support.
The
new widget search is capable of quickly identifying missed calls by
just swiping down in the widget directly on the homescreen. It lets
users copy the number from their call history and simply drag it down to
identify the caller. It should be noted that Apple introduced support
for widgets with the iOS 8 last year, which also brings support for
third-party apps.
Besides,
the iOS app will show a completely redesigned look, optimised for the
new iPhone 6 models. The iOS app now also gets the ability to keep your
phonebook updated by tapping into data and photos from one’s social
media profiles.
The
new user interface design features quick ways to send text messages or
place calls to user profiles that have been just discovered. On pulling a
user profile, you can simply swipe left to place a call or text. The
new update also includes improved spam filters for protection against
unwanted calls. The app also claims to be faster than before.
Truecaller for iOS can be downloaded from the Apple App store.
